Monterey® Brush & Vine Control

It is a herbicide based on the active ingredient triclopyr designed to control brush, vines, and perennial weeds in non-crop areas such as around homes, cabins, fences, walkways etc.

Over 50 woody plants and vines including poison ivy, alder, blackberry, cottonwood, honeysuckle, mesquite, sumac, wild rose and others. Also, 20 perennial broadleaf weeds are on the label such as bindweed, canada thistle, clover, horsetail, oxalis and wild violet.

Apply as a full-coverage foliar spray when plants are leafing out and actively growing. Thorough coverage of the plant is necessary. You may also want to use a surfactant (Herbicide Helper) to enhance control.

Apply 4-8 ounces per gallon of water. Use the higher rate on older hard to control species. Spray at the rate of 1 gallon of spray mixture per 500 sq ft.

Apply undiluted to freshly cut tree stumps with a paint brush or as a spray. This will kill the stump and prevent re-sprouting.

Do not use on or around edible crops. Avoid drift or spray onto desirable plants. Keep people and pets away from the area until the spray has dried. Rainfall within 24 hours may reduce the effectiveness. Slow acting taking 1-6 weeks for control.
