Placing traps is easy:
- Open the trap, remove the lure packet and push the bottom down to spread the trap open.
- Open the lure packet with scissors, shake the lure into trap and add 1 to 1¼ cup of water. Press the top seal firmly to close the trap.
- Attach the hanger through the hole in the top of the trap. Careful not to spill the liquid bait. Clean spilled bait on your hands and the trap with
soap and water BEFORE setting the trap outside. - Hang the trap outdoors only, 4–8' off the ground where animals and children can not access the trap. Use 2–4 traps per 12,000 sq.ft. Place traps 15' apart, away from people. Place traps near kennels, coops, stables and other areas where flies breed.
Dispose of the entire trap when full. Do not open traps that contain flies.
Do not feed contents to chickens or fish.
Contains nonhazardous, common food products which attract flies.

What is Monterey® Outdoor Fly Trap?
It contains a non-hazardous bait made from common food products which are attractive to common flies. A special fluorescent pigment is added to the ink printed on the bag makes it glow in ultraviolet, which catches more flies.
How are the traps used?
1. Open the trap, remove the lure packet and push the bottom down to spread the trap open.
2. Open the lure packet with scissors, shake the lure into trap and add 1 to 1¼ cup of water. Press the top seal firmly to close the trap.
3. Attach the hanger through the hole in the top of the trap.

When do I start Trapping?
Place traps in the early evening/morning to avoid active insects.
