What does Monterey® Take-Out™ Complete Insect Control do?
Monterey Take-Out™ Complete Insect Control kills 450+ listed insects including ants, fleas, chinch bugs, mosquitoes, aphids, fire ants, mites, and many more. It works above and below the soil surface and provides control for up to 2 months.
Where can I use it?
Fruit & vegetable gardens
Ornamental plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs
Perimeters around the home (foundations, walls, eaves, porches, patios, garages)
Soil and turf areas (not for broadcast applications on residential lawns)
For outdoor use around the home only.
How do I apply it?
1. Use a clean sprayer and measure the amount of product and water according to the directions.
2. Mix thoroughly (common rate: 0.5 fl. oz. in 1 gallon of water per 250–300 sq. ft.).
3. Spray for complete coverage on plants, foundations, or targeted areas.
4. Flush sprayer with clean water after use.
What about Fire Ants?
Mix 1 fl. oz. per gallon of water and soak each mound and the 4 ft. surrounding area. Kills the mound and queen within 24 hours.
How long does it last?
Provides residual protection for up to 8 weeks (2 months). May be reapplied as needed, following label limits (no more than 14 applications per year).
Can I use it on edible crops?
Yes. This product can be used on many vegetables, but each has a pre-harvest interval (PHI) — the number of days to wait between the last application and harvest:
Broccoli, cabbage, lettuce – 1 day
Onions & garlic – 14 days
Tomatoes & tomatillos – 5 days
Sweet & pop corn – 21 days
Note: Do not exceed 5 applications per year on corn and 9 applications per year on other crops.
