Sequestar® Iron 6%

It is a dry fully chelated water soluble granular 6% iron. The chelating agent is EDDHA, the top of the line in chelating materials. It is especially effective in alkaline soils, but also works effectively in acid soil conditions. It is used to correct and prevent iron deficiency in plants.

The best way is as a soil drench. Dissolve the desired rate in water in a water can and pour around the drip line of the plant. Move into the soil by irrigation or rainfall.

On trees (ornamentals, fruit and nut trees, citrus, etc.) apply 1/2 – 2 oz for each inch of trunk diameter measured at chest level. For shrubs (including berries, grapes, roses, etc.) apply 2 oz for small shrubs and 2 oz per inch of diameter for large shrubs. To bedding plants, vegetables, groundcovers, etc. apply 2 oz per 100 sq. ft. or band 2 – 4 ounces per 100 feet of row. For lawns apply 4 – 8 oz in 2 gallons of water per 1000 sq ft. Potted plants apply 1/4 teaspoon per 8 inch pot or 1/2 teaspoon per 12 inch pot.

Sequestar® Iron 6% may stain certain surfaces. If applied to plant foliage, phytotoxicity may occur.

Sequestar® Iron 6% is readily available to the plant so it can cure iron chlorosis of deep rooted plants fairly quickly. Once the deficiency is overcome, treat every 3 – 4 months at a lower rate to prevent its return. With all micronutrients, smaller dosages at more frequent intervals is better than a massive dose at one time.
