Use Turflon® Ester specialty herbicide for the control of actively growing annual and perennial broadleaf weeds, bermudagrass and kikuyugrass in perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass or tall fescue ornamental turfgrass.
- Reapply Turflon® Ester at 4-week intervals.
- Mow newly seeded turfgrass 2 or 3 times before treating.
- Do not water for 24 hours after application.
- Do not reseed for 3 weeks after application. This precaution does not apply when bermudagrass turf is overseeded with perennial ryegrass at a minimum reseeding rate of 9.2 lbs. per 1000 sq ft.
To minimize turfgrass injury, do not treat if turfgrass is under heat or drought stress.

How is Turflon Ester used, and what weeds does it control?
For the post-emergence control of annual and perennial broadleaf weeds, kikuyu-grass and bermudagrass in ornamental cool season turf, and many hard-to-kill weeds such as clover, ground ivy, oxalis, spurge, and plantain, to name a few.
When do I use Turflon Ester?
This is a post-emergence herbicide, effective only on weeds that have already sprouted. It can be applied at any time of the year, but for best results, weeds should be actively growing.
How much Turflon Ester do I use?
Apply 4 teaspoons per 1-2 gallon of water for 1000 sq ft. Repeat in 4 weeks if more control is needed.
All I want to do is spot treatment. How do I do this?
Mix 4 teaspoons Turflon Ester in 1 gallon of water in your hand-held sprayer and apply as a spot treatment to the individual weeds. If you are using a small 1 qt sprayer, mix 1 teaspoon of Turflon Ester in 1 qt of water.
Can I mix Turflon Ester with other herbicides?
Yes. It can be mixed with 2,4-D or MCPP products to broaden the spectrum of control. See rate table.
On what turf grasses can I use it on?
It may be used on perennial bluegrass, perennial ryegrass, and tall fescue. DO NOT use Turflon Ester on Bahiagrass, bentgrass, bermudagrass, centipedegrass, St. Augustinegrass or zoysiagrass, unless turf injury can be tolerated.
What precautions must I take?
Avoid drift into flower beds or ornamentals. Do not apply to exposed roots of shallow rooted trees and shrubs.
I just planted my lawn. Can I treat it with Turflon Ester?
No. Wait until after the second or third mowing.
How soon can I water my lawn after application?
Wait 24 hours before watering your lawn after application of Turflon Ester.
