A preemergence herbicide for the control of annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in ornamental trees, ornamental woody shrubs, ornamental groundcovers, roses, established flowers and vegetable gardens.

What is Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder? +
Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder is based on the product, Treflan® 4EC, a herbicide used by farmers and horticulturists since the 1960’s. It is the same concentration used by farmers.
How do I use Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder? +
Because it is a preemergence herbicide, it must be applied before weeds appear. It will not control weeds that have already emerged.
What weeds are controlled with Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder? +
Most annual grasses and many broadleaf weeds, such as chickweed, lambsquarter, pigweed, puncture vine (Western US only), purslane, and many others. Weeds not controlled include nutgrass, cocklebur, and others. For complete list, consult the label.
What plants can I use Vegetable Ornamental Weeder on or around to control weeds? +
Over 160 species of woody shrubs, trees, ground covers, and established flowers are on the label. In vegetable gardens, it may be used on asparagus, beans, carrots, cole crops, celery, cucumbers, greens, peas, okra peppers, potatoes and tomatoes. Note! Use only on these vegetables. Vegetables such as sweet corn, beets, and spinach will be killed.
How do I apply Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder? +
Mix 3 oz of Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder into 2 gal of water and apply to 1000 sq ft. Spray directly on the soil, and water in as soon as possible. On vegetables, apply immediately after seeding or transplanting. On established trees and shrubs, control the existing weeds either chemically or by hand removal. Apply Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder immediately, then water into the soil.
How long will Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder last? +
Up to 3 months of control.
Can I use Vegetable & Ornamental Weeder on my lawn? +
No, because it is not labeled for use on turf.
How soon should I irrigate after an application? +
