For ease of use, we’ve created this simplified version of the 2012 USDA map. Each zone, divided into 10° F increments, indicates the average annual minimum winter temperature for that area.
To make sure you buy plants that will survive in your area, find your location on this map and determine which zone you’re in. Next time you shop for plants, look on the tags to see which zones are indicated. If the tag shows the zone you live in, the plant should be able to survive the low winter temperatures in your area.
